Harmonia Ariosa
Vocal and Instrumental Music from 17th Century Austria and
Italy. A singular chance to hear some of the most
beautiful music of the Baroque period played by international stars
in the field of early music.
The concert will feature Lauurie Young Stevens, on
baroque violin; Manfredo Kraemer, violin; Paul Leenhouts, recorder;
Phoebe Carrai, cello; Kathleen Kajioka, violin; Andrew Justice,
violin; David Dawson, bass; Gabriel Shuford, harpsichord and organ;
Jenifer Thyssen, soprano.

Houstson Early Music
Ensemble Caprice: Music of Paradise and Hell
` Montreal-based Ensemble Caprice, under the artistic direction of
recorder virtuosi Matthias Maute and Sophie Lariviere, returns to
perform a dazzling selection of 17th century works on recorders,
viola da gamba, baroque guitar and percussion. The performance in
conjunction with Society of Seventeenth-Century Music annual
conference.
